Elliot Block Appointed Deputy Director of the CA Department of Resources, Recycling and Recovery

Elliot Block, 51, of Sacramento, has been appointed deputy director, legal counsel at the California Department of Resources, Recycling, and Recovery, where he has served since 2006. Block served as staff counsel at the California Integrated Waste Management Board from 1992 to 2005 and as staff counsel at the Fair Political Practices Commission from 1989 to 1992. He was managing attorney at the Fair Housing Council of Orange County from 1984 to 1988. Block earned a Juris Doctorate degree from the University of California, Davis School of Law.
